By using the treatment throughout the project, you'll be able to meet goals that you set for yourself at the beginning of the project. Another thing to keep in mind when writing a treatment is to make the basic story interesting for the viewer. By having characters planned out from the beginning, it'll be easier to make the characters feel more alive in the later writing stages and and shooting stages. Finally, one more thing to keep in mind is to create intriguing story. If the story doesn't have a sense of "what happens next?" keeping the viewers engaged. By following these rules in the early stages of writing, it'll make the final product easier to produce.
